Malcolm is a Registered Financial Adviser and Director of Insurance Link Rangitikei & Fielding and also his longstanding insurance advice business, Backbone Ltd.

Malcolm’s career in insurance started after he suffered a devastating injury to his back due to a motorcycle accident, sadly he did not have insurance.  Not one to take things lying down, Malcolm took up an offer from a friend to work in insurance, since his life as a manual labourer was off limits. Insurance helped Malcolm bounce back financially from his accident and he has never looked back.

It’s the people contact that Malcolm enjoys most about his work. He likes to work with industries that are the backbone of the New Zealand economy, the hard workers, the entrepreneurs and the farmers.  Malcolm loves having a cup of tea and a chat at his customers places of work or their homes, basically wherever you do business.  He’s mobile and will happily stand in the milking shed beside you if that’s what you need.

In his spare time, Malcolm is a happy family guy who still loves getting out on the motorbike (he’s now fully insured!).  He’s also a volunteer firefighter, a recreational fisherman and photographer and enjoys life on his semi rural lifestyle block.

Malcolm is a regular Kiwi bloke who feels that honesty and integrity are two things that are essential in life.
